Come meet our team
At Ryan Double Glazing, our team is our greatest asset. Led by Chris Ryan, we're a tight-knit crew who take real pride in the work we do and the way we treat our customers' homes. Chris has built an environment where people genuinely enjoy coming to work — so much so that we operate on a four-day week, because he believes a well-rested team does better work. That same care and attention goes into every installation we do.

Born in rural Waikato, Chris grew up with a “can do, will do” approach to life. His parents were early adopters of aluminium joinery and the new joinery business grew to immerse the growing Ryan family. Following an extended period of time overseas and working in multiple jobs across the construction, tourism hospitality industries Chris returned home in his 30s to join his parents and siblings to expand the Ryan Aluminium business across the Bay of Plenty, Tamaki Makaurau Auckland, Coromandel, Northland and Waikato regions.
Having spent 40+ years surrounded by joinery there is not much Chris hasn’t seen or fixed. His knowledge and experience is fundamental to the reputation that Ryan Double Glazing enjoys today. Looking for a change of direction and having spotted a gap in an otherwise crowded market, Chris established Ryan Double Glazing as a business specialising in retro-fitting existing aluminium joinery windows and doors.
Chris now heads a team of hand-picked people who share his commitment to providing the best possible service - matched by his uncompromising approach to the best quality products on offer.“Success for me in business is being able to bring young people into the business - to teach them skills they need to have a good life and to care for this planet for the next generation”

Josh has been part of the Ryan Double Glazing team for five years, where he takes on the role of manager. His day-to-day involves a bit of everything—from sales and quotes to customer care and centre office administration. Known affectionately as the 'mum' of the team, Josh is the glue that helps keep things running smoothly. What Josh values most about working at Ryans is the team itself. He’s surrounded by hardworking individuals who not only get the job done but genuinely get along and back each other up. That strong sense of support makes his role as manager both rewarding and easier to manage. Outside of work, Josh is all about nature and quality time with close friends. Whether he’s starting his day with a walk and coffee, diving into a good book, or enjoying surfing, running, camping, and hiking, he finds balance by being outdoors and staying active. His love for connection shines through in his personable approach at work, where he’s known for good communication and empathy. One thing Josh has learned since joining Ryans is that sales isn’t just about making money—it’s about asking the right questions to ensure customers get the product that truly fits their needs. For him, the key workplace value is simple: backing each other up. That team spirit is what makes Ryans a place he’s proud to be part of. When Josh and the team arrive at a customer’s property, he wants them to know they can expect respect, care, and professionalism from start to finish. Outside of glazing, he’s dabbled in TV as an extra and imagines he’d thrive in primary teaching, youth work, or even music festival set-ups if life had taken a different path. At the heart of it all, Josh loves making a positive difference to people’s homes alongside a group of people who genuinely care.
